I have never written a product review, but rely heavily on them when making purchases for our family. I figure best to listen to those who care enough to write one – be it a negative or positive experience.
After receiving our 4th Little Archives Box, I felt compelled to share our family’s thoughts.

A little background: My son is eight, my daughter is seven. We are like most, busy with school activities, soccer practices, swim lessons, friends and weekend birthday parties. Our family time is precious, therefore I’m always looking to keep us at home whenever possible, trying to avoid another reason to rush out the door! I tend to look for activities that grow with my children, with an opportunity to learn, create and work independently.

We discovered The Little Archives this summer. Our first box arrived in August. It was bright and colourful – a great first impression!

Since then, we’ve really looked forward to our monthly boxes and here are just a few reasons why.

    1) Arrives at your door – the convenience!
    2) Designed for all ages. I’d say as young as four to around 11 or 12 years old. Young artists colour, glue, paint, with their grown up who can help & encourage. While the older set work on their own, with easy to follow suggestion/instruction cards provided in each box. There are convenient online tutorials for those who find themselves ‘creatively challenged’.
    3) A generous supply of top quality products. Name brand scissors, glue, paints, pastels.
    4) Every month has a main project, with additional projects online for the remaining supplies from that month’s box. This isn’t a ‘use one time only’.
    5) You won’t collect a bunch of unnecessary supplies. Instead each month builds towards the next. My children often ‘borrow’ from previous boxes to add to a new project. Sparkle paint from August used to create a starry night sky now works to decorate October’s felt monsters.
    6) There are two of EVERYTHING! No more arguing over who gets the scissors longer. Peace. Harmony.
    7) The actual box itself beautiful and very well made. We’ve always stored our art supplies in the cupboard. Now they are displayed on our bookshelf. Because they aren’t tucked away and out of sight – my children use them all the time.
    8) The Little Archives boxes are always changing and that keeps it interesting.
    9) To Gran’s house and on holidays. The sturdy box makes it a dream to pack.
    10) A great gift for friends near and far.

We can’t wait for our December box!
